| The Association represents the interests of its member
Companies in any matters affecting the Shipping Industry. Our Executive have regular meetings with many Government Departments especially Border Protection Agencies such as NZ Customs Service, MAF, Immigration, Maritime Safety Authority and the Ministry of Health. We have also assisted members experiencing GST problems and interpretations with the Inland Revenue Department. Industry issues with Port Companies are also part of the association's role. We offer training subsidies for member companies wishing to provide professional development for their shipping staff particularly younger members. |
